SK10 Project
SK10 Project has been one of our core business since the acquisition of Block SK10, offshore Sarawak in 1987. ENEOS Xplora Malaysia Limited, our subsidiary, acting as operator, carries out exploration, development and production activities in the block. Natural gas produced from the block is exported in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to various countries including Japan.

The Full LNG Chain
Natural gas produced from the gas fields in Block SK10 is transported through subsea pipelines to the LNG plant in Bintulu, Sarawak. The LNG plant is owned by Malaysia LNG Tiga Sdn Bhd. We contributes to the stable supply of LNG to LNG-consuming countries, including Japan.
Project Playing Important Role in Supplying Natural Gas to Japan
This project, which began with natural gas production in the Helang gas field in 2003 and later launched the Beryl gas field and Layang oil and gas field, helps ensure a stable supply of energy to Japan. ENEOS Xplora Malaysia Limited will continue gas and oil production to meet Asia's robust energy demand.

BIGST Project
BIGST Project is a development initiative for a cluster of discovered but stranded gas fields located offshore on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The project name "BIGST" is derived from the initials of the five gas fields within the block. The natural gas produced from the fields will be supplied to the Malaysian domestic market. The CO2 contained in the gas will be separated and captured, then injected into depleted gas fields using CCS*technology. Through this approach, the project aims to achieve natural gas development with a reduced environmental impact.
- CCS: Carbon dioxide Capture and Storage. A technology for capturing CO2 and injecting and storing it underground.
E&P ×CCS: Low Carbon Solutions for Natural Gas Development
The BIGST gas fields have been discovered with large estimated reserves but have remained undeveloped due to the high concentration of CO2. To address this challenge, ENEOS Xplora aims to pursue low environmental impact development which reduce emissions by separating, capturing and injecting CO2 produced with the natural gas. Together with the operator PERONAS Carigali, we are actively participating as an active partner and playing a significant role in this low carbon solutions project that combines conventional gas production with CCS.
Contributing to Malaysia's Sustainable Energy Future
Peninsular Malaysia is experiencing increasing energy demand as a result of rapid economic and population growth. Gas produced from the BIGST Project is expected to meet about 30% of the region's gas demand through 2050, making a significant contribution to Malaysia’s future energy stability.
